Help make Arkyn better.

Arkyn is closed source while it’s in beta, so everything starts with an email to Arkyn@datsov.com. The source opens at public release.

Join the tester programme

Arkyn has been tested in virtual machines and on one real laptop. Every new machine teaches us something. Testers get:

  • The beta ISO by private link, with its checksum sent separately.
  • A direct line to the people building it.
  • Fixes for your hardware in the next release, where we can.

And we ask you to:

  • Install on a machine whose disk you can wipe — installing erases it.
  • Work through the tester checklist and tell us what passed and what didn’t.
  • Keep the download link private.

Report a bug

Good reports get fixed. Include:

  1. Version — cat /etc/os-release
  2. Hardware make and model
  3. What you did, expected, and saw — step by step
  4. A photo of the screen if it happened during boot or install
  5. Logs, if you can — journalctl -b -p warning

Logs can contain your username, network names and serial numbers. Read them before you send them.
