Verify the ISO

Do not skip this. A corrupted or tampered image can fail half-way through an install — or worse.

The checksum for Arkyn OS 2.1.0:

The file is 9,384,886,272 bytes.

Linux

sha256sum ArkynOS-2.1.0-amd64.iso

It must print exactly the line above. If you also have SHA256SUMS, put it next to the ISO and run sha256sum -c SHA256SUMS — it must say OK.

macOS

shasum -a 256 ArkynOS-2.1.0-amd64.iso

Windows

certutil -hashfile ArkynOS-2.1.0-amd64.iso SHA256

Compare every character (letter case doesn’t matter).

Why two channels

Testers get the download link and the checksum through two different channels (for example, the link by email and the checksum by Signal). If one channel were compromised, a swapped ISO would not also arrive with a matching checksum. This website is a third, independent place to compare against.

Any mismatch

Stop. Delete the file and download it again. Do not write it to a stick.
