Proton Drive

Proton has no native Linux Drive client. Arkyn ships rclone (a current release from rclone.org — the one in Ubuntu’s archive is too old) with its protondrive backend.

Terminal window
rclone config # n) new remote, name: proton, storage: protondrive
# username/password = your Proton login; 2FA code when asked.
# Your account must have logged in via a browser once.
rclone ls proton: # test
mkdir -p ~/ProtonDrive
rclone mount proton: ~/ProtonDrive --vfs-cache-mode writes --daemon

Create ~/.config/systemd/user/proton-drive.service:

[Unit]
Description=Proton Drive (rclone)
After=network-online.target
[Service]
ExecStart=/usr/bin/rclone mount proton: %h/ProtonDrive --vfs-cache-mode writes
ExecStop=/bin/fusermount -u %h/ProtonDrive
Restart=on-failure
[Install]
WantedBy=default.target

Then enable it:

Terminal window
systemctl --user enable --now proton-drive.service

The same guide ships on your system at ~/.config/rclone/README-proton-drive.md.
