Arkyn Setup
Arkyn Setup opens once, at your first login. Every page can be skipped, and you can run it again any time from the app library (System › Arkyn Setup). Calm background music plays — the button at the top right turns it off, and it stays off next time.
| Page | What it does |
|---|---|
| Welcome | The slogan, and what’s ahead. |
| Wi-Fi | Pick a network and type its password. The password goes straight to NetworkManager; Arkyn keeps no copy. |
| Fingerprint | Only if your laptop has a reader. Enrol a finger, then use it to log in and for sudo. The disk passphrase and the first keyring unlock still need your password. |
| Appearance | Dark or light mode, and one of nine Arkyn wallpapers. More in Sov Settings. |
| Accounts | Sign in to Claude Code and GitHub (in Sov Terminal), set your git name and email, open the Proton apps, log in to Mullvad with your account number. |
| Your phone | Only if KDE Connect is available. Scan the F-Droid code, pair, and Arkyn switches off the risky plugins for that phone. See Pair your phone. |
| Battery | Only on laptops with charge limits: explains the 80 % limit and the Max charge switch. |
| Tips | A dozen tips, rolling by themselves. |
| All set | Thank you — plus the website, email and donation addresses with Copy buttons. |
